Guiding Eyes for the Blind

We relied on our loyal base of generous supporters, passionate staff and dedicated volunteers to come together to meet the growing needs of a diverse community of people with vision loss. Through this unwavering support and dedication, Guiding Eyes has graduated more than 10,000 guide dog teams since 1954. We believe in the powerful, meaningful change that our dogs bring to the lives of people facing the daily challenges that blindness and vision loss present. It costs up to $50,000 annually to train and care for a guide dog throughout its working lifetime with a person who is blind. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, we provide all services completely free of charge to people who are blind or have vision loss, thanks to our generous donors.
