AAHD is dedicated to ensuring health equity and inclusion for persons with disabilities through policy, research, and dissemination. AAHD uses a knowledge translation framework and other projects that ensure research and dissemination result in action, initiatives that focus on health promotion and wellness, reducing health disparities, community inclusion, advocacy, valuable information about multiple aspects of disability and public health for children and adults with disabilities, and has an official journal titled the “Disability and Health Journal.”
