Talking Books Library – RI Office of Library & Information Services

The Rhode Island Talking Books Library (TBL) program began in 1967 and is administered by the Rhode Island Office of Library and Information Services (OLIS) to strengthen, connect and empower libraries to advance knowledge, connect communities and enrich the lives of all Rhode Islanders. The mission of the Office of Library and Information Services (OLIS) is based on the fundamental vision that Rhode Island libraries inspire and transform lives. The Talking Books program, with funding provided by the Library of Congress, National Library Service, allows print disabled Rhode Island residents to receive audio and braille books, magazines, music materials, descriptive DVDs and equipment free of charge.
