National Federation of the Blind Human Services Division

National Federation of the Blind Human Services Division

Founded in 1940, the National Federation of the Blind is the oldest and largest nationwide organization of blind Americans. The National Federation of the Blind consists of affiliates, chapters, and divisions in all fifty states, Washington, DC, and Puerto Rico. Through our network of blind members, we coordinate many programs, services, and resources to defend the rights of blind Americans, provide information and support to blind children and adults, and build a community that creates a future full of opportunities. Believing in the full capacity of blind individuals, the National Federation of the Blind hosts a wide range of programs and services, including for children, educators, parents, seniors, and professionals to name a few. In addition, the National Federation of the Blind is active in advocacy on all government levels as well as provide legal services as appropriate.

The National Federation of the Blind Human Services Division provides blind professionals in fields related to human services with information, networking, and community. In addition, the Human Services Division works to eliminate barriers by individuals employed or seeking services in these professional fields.
