Mary Carmel’s Light
Mary Carmel’s Light (MCL) is a newly established charitable organization based in North Carolina. The organization is committed to addressing the unmet need for awareness, education, support, and information about Charles Bonnet Syndrome (CBS) in the United States. This includes catering to individuals living with CBS, the medical community, research organizations/foundations, and the general population. It is evident that there is a significant lack of resources in the United States for CBS, necessitating individuals, their families, and caregivers to seek information from organizations in the UK, Australia, and Canada. Mary Carmel’s Light is dedicated to raising awareness for Charles Bonnet Syndrome (CBS) and encouraging individuals with CBS, visual impairments, and onset blindness to seek appropriate treatment and/or a differential diagnosis without apprehension of being misdiagnosed. We are dedicated to providing comprehensive support resources for people living with CBS, their caregivers, families, and medical staff. Join us in our fight to shine a light on CBS, and empower those with CBS to lead a life with dignity, grace, and inclusion.
