Founded and based in San Francisco since 1902, the LightHouse for the Blind and Visually Impaired is one of the largest and most comprehensive blindness organizations in North America. LightHouse is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides programs and services that include; LightHouse Little Learners program to help families with children aged birth to three who are blind, Deafblind have low vision, or a neurological visual impairment, diverse array of outings, social events, and personal/professional development opportunities for young adult and high school-aged youth, orientation and mobility training, braille instruction, access technology training, independent living skills training, Enchanted Hills Camp in Napa, and many recreational opportunities for adults to participate in community.
