Eyes Like Mine
We are a tax-exempt 501(C3) non-profit organization in Newark, NJ. We conduct seasonal positive recruitment employment events and resource fairs for individuals with disabilities. Our staple events includes a 6-8 weeks dance fit program called Dancing with the Blind and a 12-week women’s empowerment program called the Miss Blind Diva Empowerment Experience. We organize annual community baby showers for mothers with or without disabilities. We promote access to literacy through our braille overlay project providing access to print and braille children books. We offer volunteer and intern experiences for those interested in supporting our work with their skills and time. We are committed to community outreach opportunities and public speaking platforms that drive our mission forward. Our outreach extends throughout NJ with no geographical boundaries, as most of our programming is virtual, with weather permitting outdoor events/programs.
