Described and Captioned Media Program

DCMP offers free resources to educators and families of students with disabilities who are birth through high school age.  We have an online video library of over 18,000 educational videos that are captioned, audio described, and we are now adding American Sign Language as well. These services are free because we are funded through the U.S. Department of Education.

These videos cover all the academics such as math, science, history and more. But they also cover social-emotional learning, self-advocacy, sex-education, anything you need to teach students about we have a video on the topic.  All grade levels are covered and all subject areas.  There are also videos for teachers to learn how to work with students with various disabilities, as well as videos for families to learn more about helping their child.  We also provide professional development training and free CEUs.

Our mission is to promote and provide equal access to communication and learning through described and captioned educational media.

The ultimate goal of DCMP is for accessible media to be an integral tool in the teaching and learning process for all stakeholders in the educational community, including students, educators and other school personnel, parents, service providers, businesses, and agencies.
